The Bowlus Hill ride takes you around the bluff on the north side of McKuster Ranch. This ride is about 11 miles long and allows you to ride the gentle rolling hills at the base of the Blue Mountains. The views you get from this ride is that of the cities of Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla and the agricultural landscape around them. This ride does not take you to the summit of Bowlus Hill, you will need to see Kittee or Dale for the directions, riding along our backyard bluff, and breaking off on a no trail cut through to reach Bowlus Hill summit.

At that point you ver north on No. Fork Walla Walla River Road, and again ver north (to the left) as you cross the No. Fork Walla Walla River. From this point the trail/ Power Line Road climbs through a saddle making about a 300' elevation change and breaks out into eastern Oregon wheat fields. Going pass Government Mountain Road you continue out to Birch Creek Road and ver to the west. Follow Birch Creek west to Spofford Road, then turn south coming back to Walla Walla River Road about a half mile downstream of McKuster Ranch. About a mile and a half of this ride is along Walla Walla River Road (paved), and the rest of the trail follows Power Line, Birch Creek, and Spofford roads which are well maintained backcountry dirt roads open year round.
